Open Adit™ Rocks & Minerals goal is to make ordering online from us as convenient and simple as possible, therefore, we provide you with a number of different methods of payment including; Credit Cards, Check or Money Order, and PayPal. Open Adit™ Rocks & Minerals accepts payments denominated in U.S. dollars (USD$). We do not accept C.O.D. payments or purchase orders. Taxes - We automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within Ohio. For orders shipped to other states, you are solely responsible for all sales taxes or other taxes.

Coupons and Discounts - We may occasionally offer promotional code coupons, discounts or other special savings to customers on our mailing list. To take advantage of any coupon or discount, it must be used at the time of check-out during the payment process.

Security - The Open Adit™ website uses 128 Bit Encryption - Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to process payments. SSL is a method of ensuring that information entered through your web site is protected from prying eyes. With SSL, information submitted on the web site is first encrypted, submitted securely over the Internet, and then decrypted on the receiving end. SSL is most commonly used for credit card transactions but it can be used to collect any sensitive data. By convention, the url’s of web pages that are transmitted using SSL start with https instead of http. During check-out you will notice in the bottom right corner of you browser, a yellow padlock indicating a secure connection. This feature provides privacy, authentication and message Integrity. If your browser does not support SSL, or if you are unable to establish a secure connection due to a company firewall, you will have to place your order by phone at (937) 440-9891 or us.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. When you are finished shopping and are ready to checkout, you can complete your order using our secure order form. As explained above, we use 128 bit encryption to protect your transaction on our secure server. You may also call in your credit card information to us at (937) 440-9891. When you call in an order, please have the specimen ID# ready for the specimen(s) you will be ordering.

Credit card payments are authorized online in real time. You will be informed immediately if your credit card is accepted or declined. If declined, you may check the accuracy of the credit card number and expiration date, or choose a different card to try. Your order will not be processed unless the credit card number you entered is authorized. We examine all credit card transactions carefully and while yours may be perfectly valid, we reserve the right to refuse any transaction because we were unable to secure validation.

In order to reduce the amount of credit card fraud you must provide the billing address of the card you provide for payment. You do have the option of shipping your order to a different location, however, if the billing address does not match the address associated with the card you provide your order will not be processed.  Due to the high rate of fraud for international orders we will only ship internationally to the address associated with the card provided.

We do not store your credit card number in our database for security reasons. We have our database setup so your card number is erased as soon as your transaction is complete. If you would like to maintain your card number on file with us, simply send us an or call us at (937) 440-9891 and we will be happy to do so. We will not put or maintain your card number in our electronic database even after you request us to keep it on file.

Domestic:

Open Adit™ Rocks & Minerals accepts Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, and Company Checks denominated in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. Orders paid for by money order, cashier's check or company check will be processed when payment is received. A $25 fee will be applied on all returned checks. All Checks must have a valid nine-digit bank routing number (ABA code) MICR-encoded on the bottom of the check.

We accept personal checks for U.S. orders only! The check must be denominated in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank and the order must be shipped to a U.S. address. All orders placed with a personal check will be delayed 7 to 10 business days to allow the check to clear, please make checks payable to Open Adit. Checks must have a valid nine-digit bank routing number (ABA code) MICR-encoded on the bottom of the check.

International:

We accept International Postal Money Orders, International Bank Draft's denominated in U.S. dollars (USD$) or Cashiers Checks denominated in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. Checks must also have a valid nine-digit bank routing number (ABA code) MICR-encoded on the bottom of the check. Currency conversion is your responsibility.

PayPal:

PayPal is an online service for transferring funds electronically. If you are shipping your order to a country other than your own, or we have otherwise indicated we cannot accept your credit card, you may send funds to Open Adit™ Rocks & Minerals via PayPal. Checkout is quick, easy, and safe when you pay with PayPal. When you are finished shopping and are ready to checkout, choose the PayPal option to be automatically forwarded to PayPal's Secure Payment server and complete the transaction.

Registration for a PayPal account is simple. You only have to sign-up once and best of all, it's free. Once you have registered a bank account and/or a credit card with PayPal you will be able to send funds to anyone in the world who has a valid e-mail address.
